The staff was outstanding, providing excellent service, and the traditional meals were a delightful experience. It’s great to be so close to Nara Park for evening strolls, away from the crowds.

The simplicity of the room felt more like rustic charm than comfort, and the rooftop access comes with an additional fee which wasn’t clearly stated.

While I enjoyed the room overall, the view of Kofuku-ji was obstructed by scaffolding, which was disappointing given the extra cost paid for the view.

I loved my stay at ryokan asukasou at the entrance of nara park for a romantic weekend. The onsen experience and the eight-course dinner exceeded my expectations. Everything from the comfy futons to the beautiful view of the pagoda made it lovely.

We had a fantastic time enjoying the private bath and taking in the tranquil rooftop views. The kaiseki dinner was rich in flavor, and the unique breakfast options broadened our culinary horizons, although it challenged my taste buds a bit. Some parts of the decor felt slightly dated, but it didn't take away from the overall charm. definitely give it a shot if you're in the area! 😊

Dining included interesting grilled dishes, enriching the overall culinary experience. The simplicity of the room was authentic, but might not appeal to everyone.
